Roger Schindler, 59, of Kimball, died at Kimball Health Services on Tuesday, January 27, 2009.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be given to the family.  Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Roger Allen Schindler was born in Scottsbluff on May 5, 1959, the son of Pete and Eva (Slingerland) Schindler.  He attended school in Albin, WY and graduated from the Kimball High School.  He was married to Donna Wurdeman on September 15, 1973.  He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1968 and served his country during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged on 1969.  He worked in the oil fields from the time he was 17 until his retirement.  Roger served on the Kimball/Banner County Rodeo Association, a service which he truly loved.  He enjoyed riding horses and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.Survivors include his mother Eva Schindler of Kimball; children Tonia Schindler and friend Matt Heim of Kimball and Casey (Mandi) Schindler of Bushnell; sisters Claudia (John) Olafson of Alliance, NE and Trudy Schindler of Denver, CO; brother Hal (Vicki) Schindler of Baker, FL; grandchildren Jasmine, Dailynn and Ambri and Trey Schindlerand Shay Heim.  He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and his wife.
