Dale A. Leemaster, 84, of Pine Bluffs, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Cheyenne. He was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Daniel C. and Gertrude (Elenbaas) Leemaster. He married the former Shirley J. Krauss on July, 27, 1974 in Corwith, Iowa and she survives.Mr. Leemaster was a farmer and rancher. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church, Pine Bluffs Sportsman’s Club, National Rifle Association, Amateur Trapshooting Association, Pine Bluffs Heritage Society, the Cheyenne Trap and Skeet Club, and was a past board member of Fire District No. 5.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Dennis) McCann of Cheyenne and Cindy Kern of Fostoria, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kirsten Jewell, Jamie Saldusky, Jason Saldusky and Jeremy Kreais; and four great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Leemaster; and a sister, Margaret Tracy.A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 at the Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church with Pastor Dale Lovett officiating. Burial took place in Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Pall bearers were Jeff Bruckner, Lloyd Sisson, John Wise, Ed Kinder, Carl Carmichael and Merrill Sargent. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Perkins, Rodney Soppe, Glenn Jewel, Bob Yeager and Van Lemaster.Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church, Pine Bluffs Sportsman’s Club or the Pine Bluffs Heritage Society.The family was assisted by Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
