Grace E. Widener, 5, of Kimball, died at Kimball Health Services on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Central Church of Christ in Gering with Pastor Lyle Hinebauch officiating.  Burial will be held in the Kimball Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. following the service in Gering.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Rehabilitation Center in Scottsbluff. Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Grace Etta Widener was born in Scottsbluff on February 7, 2004. She lived on a farm near Kimball and attended the Head Start School.  Her smiles were contagious, her hugs were all encompassing, her kisses were freely given and goodbyes were never spoken. Loving family and friends was the focus of her life,  and Tristan her 11 month old nephew was her newest joy. Her love for animals was unmatched; there wasn’t an animal in her presence that was not drawn to her. Grace enjoyed riding her horse Cricket and playing with her dogs and being around all of the farm animals. She enjoyed going to the park to play, swimming at the pool with the special people who provided her therapy. Music was a passionate part of her life, she not only loved to listen to it, but also loved to conduct and orchestrate her own. She had a magnetic personality and will be missed by all who knew her.Survivors include her parents Mel and Lori Widener of Kimball; brother Joseph Widener of Kimball; sisters Ashley, Shelby and Melany Widener all of Kimball; nephew Tristan Widener of Kimball; aunts and uncles Dennis and Benita Widener. Margo and Brian Gibson, Shannon and Shay Davis, Justin and Alyssa Reinmuth and Levi and Michelle Reinmuth; grandparents Shirley Reinmuth, Rich and Danita Reinmuth, Ray and Judy Widener and Hubert and Sharon Leary; great grandmothers Hilda Widener and Fern Smith; numerous cousins and special friends Dave and Laura Whelchel and family.  Her great grandfather Melvin Palmer Widener preceded her in death.
