Blenda Wittrock, 61, of Scottsbluff, died at the Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff on Friday, April 10, 2009.  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Kenneth Mars officiating. Burial was held in St. Paul’s Cemetery north of Potter at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church in Kimball one hour prior to the service. Memorials have been established to St. John’s Lutheran Church.  Cantrell funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.Blenda Wittrock was born in Sterling, Colorado on January 5, 1948, the daughter of Elmer and Pauline (Kammerzell) Wittrock.   She moved with her family to Kimball in the early 1950’s.  She attended the Kimball schools.  She worked as a housekeeper for various motels in Kimball.  Blenda enjoyed music, singing and poetry, and had some of her poems published.  She was very family oriented and helped take care of her mother for many years.   She enjoyed crocheting and scrapbooking.  Blenda was baptized a Lutheran on February 22, 1948 and confirmed into the Lutheran faith on April 15, 1962.  Bible study and church was a very important part of her life.Survivors include her son Wayne Wittrock and friend Dawn Banks of Scottsbluff; daughter Carmen Wittrock of Scottsbluff; brother Ron Wittrock of Kimball; grandchildren Brian Crow, Jessica Ross, Haley Wittrock, Wayne Wittrock, Jr., Darell Bojorquez II, and Kaedon Bojorquez; great grandchildren Aaron and Austin Ross.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and a great nephew Tristen Erickson.
