Mark up another team victory for the Kimball High Golf Team! The Longhorns won their sixth consecutive team title at the Bayard Invitational this past week shooting 328 to win over Potter Dix by 9 strokes as the Coyotes were runner up for team honors with their team score of 337. Behind the leaders were Bridgeport 348, Gordon/ Rushville 351, Mitchell 357, and Bayard 412. Justin King of Mitchell captured the medalist honors with his round of 76, but Kimball’s Kendall Ferguson was just one stroke back in the individual standings shooting an outstanding front nine score of 34 followed by a 43 on the back nine for 77. Kimball had four golfers in the top ten medal group with Jeff Greenwood seventh with 42-41=83, Michael Robinson eighth with 40-44=84, and Todd O’Hare ninth with 41-43=84. Landon Smith shot 45-50=95. Potter Dix had two in the top ten with Jordan Ottoson fourth with a 79, and Jeremy Gasseling sixth with an 82. Potter Dix moved into D-5 District Tournament play at Chappell on Monday and Kimball was at the C-5 District in North Platte on Tuesday.
