Ed Yung, 82, a resident of Kimball, died in Cheyenne, Wyoming on Saturday, June 6, 2009. Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Kimball Event Center with Stanley Morrison and Ron Thomke officiating.  Cremation  followed the service. Inurnment will be held in the Kimball Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials have been established to the Kimball County Ambulance Service. Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.Edward Ernest Yung was born in Scottsbluff on January 18, 2009, the son of John and Martha (March) Yung. He attended school at Prairie Dale District #24 school.  As a young man he worked on the family farm and also worked helping neighbors with their farm chores.  He was married to Fern E. Peterson in 1947 in Scottsbluff, NE.  He worked driving a bus in Scottsbluff and also worked at the sugar factory in Scottsbluff.  In 1963 he opened the WeatherWise Corporation in Kimball and operated that business until his retirement in 2006.  Ed loved spending his time with his grandchildren and family.  He was a very talented person and could do anything he put his mind too.  Ed loved music and enjoyed playing the harmonica.Survivors include his wife Fern Yung of Kimball; sons Roy (Betty) Yung of Idaho Falls, ID., Orin (Gwen) Yung of Torrington, WY and Curtis (Jeanie)Yung of Post Falls, ID; daughter Dr. Jane Theobald of Omaha; brother Don (Erma) Yung of Kimball; sister Doris (Albert) Grotz of York, NE; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Merton and a sister Fern Dell Peterson.
