Robert J. Brening “RJ” 83, Chandler AZ. passed away on July 29, 2009. Robert was born September 22, 1925 in Sidney Neb. and was raised in Kimball Neb.After graduation RJ enlisted in the Sea Bees (US Navy). Robert married and raised his family in Sidney. Through the years he was employed by the Union Pacific RR, drove product tanker trucks and after 30 years with Cheyenne Pipeline,  retired and relocated to Arizona. Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years Nancy “Ruthie”, son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kim Brening, LaJaunta CO.; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Neil Weidner, Casa Grande, AZ; daughter and son-in-law, Cay and Jim Martin, Menahga, MN;. RJ has five grandchildren, Gabe Cloud, AZ; Dustin and wife, Melissa Brening, Greeley CO.; Robert Brening, Charleston NC.; Alicia and husband,Brian Davis, Colorado Springs, CO. and Krista-Beth Brening, Santa Fe, NM.;. He also has two great-grandchildren Tate and Teagan.RJ enjoyed country western music, reading (volunteering at the Chandler Library) and visiting with many of his friends and neighbors.His ashes are to be spread at his favorite places by each of his children. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix AZ.
