With the high school football season wrapping up its second week, the Potter-Dix Coyotes are still searching for their first win.The Coyotes were at home again last Friday this time taking on the Caliche Buffalos. But, like their first game, the visiting team had no problem running up the score as the Buffalos stampeded to a 70-30 victory.The Coyotes were only able to get one score in the first half, an 8 yard run from Jordan Ottoson. The two point conversion attempt failed.Caliche however, ran the field for 32 first half points.J. Ottoson connected with his younger brother Ty for three touchdowns in the last quarter of the game. They opened the fourth with an 11-yard touchdown pass and then followed with a big 50-yard touchdown pass, and another 11-yarder.The Coyotes completed three out of four of their two point conversion attempts with Jay Welch, Callen Whartmen and J. Ottoson all crossing the line.J. Ottoson finished the game with 256 yards passing going 17 out of 30. He had three touchdowns and led the team in rushing with 41 yards.T. Ottoson finished with 150 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns. Welch followed Ottoson with 67 yards receiving and Nick Jones had 35.The Coyotes will continue to search for the first victory as they hit the road this Friday. This game will be for 8-man football supremacy in Cheyenne county as they take on the Leyton Warriors.Leyton was in Harrisburg Friday taking on the Banner County Wildcats. The Warriors were triumphant in their efforts winning 40-6.
