Patricia A. Glenn passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010, at her residence in Oberlin, Kansas, at the age of 73. She was born May 24, 1936, in Kimball, Nebraska, to Albert and Helen (Kirchner) Janicek.

Pat and her ten siblings were raised in Kimball. She attended grade school and high school in Kimball, graduating in 1954.

On January 4, 1958, Pat was united in marriage to Robert C. Glenn in Kimball. Two sons were born to their union. They lived in San Antonio, Texas, and Anchorage, Alaska, while Bob served in the military. The family then returned to Kimball. Bob began a career with KN Energy, and the family lived in Glenrock and Lusk, Wyoming, before moving to Oberlin in 1976.

Pat worked as a secretary at the Decatur National Bank in Oberlin. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society. She enjoyed music and played the organ for church many years. Pat was a former Decatur County Commissioner and member of Decatur Professional Women. Her hobbies included bowling and playing Golf.

She was preceded in death by her husband on December 19, 2000, in addition to her parents and four siblings, Donald, Dale, Dick, and Betty Janicek.

Survivors include her two sons, Bryan Glenn and Trudy Kaiser of Wildwood, MO, and Erik Glenn and Kate Langford of Lawence; a granddaughter, Abby Glenn of Omaha; and six siblings, Dan Janicek of Denver, CO, Dave Janicek of Reno, NE, Derald Janicek of Hot Springs, AR, Duane Janicek and wife Fran of Kimball, NE, Alberta Brown of Scottsbluff, NE, and Carolee Egging and husband Lawrence of Sidney, NE; nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends.

A Vigil Service was held Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin, Kansas.
