Edward E. Wolforth, 81, died at his home in Kimball on Thursday, April 1, 2010.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held at this time.  Memorials may be given to the family.  The arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home of Kimball.

Edward Earl Wolforth was born in Agar, South Dakota on June 1, 1928, the son of George and Edna (Shoup) Wolforth.  He was raised and attended school in South Dakota.  He enlisted in the Navy and served his country during WWII.  Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to Omaha in 1950 and went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad as a clerk.  He was married to Lois Hartman in Oshkosh, Nebraska on August 16, 1958.  The family lived in several cities while Edward was working for the railroad.  They moved to Kimball in 1968 and he retired from the railroad in 1987.  Ed was a pilot and he loved spending time flying.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Lois of Kimball; son Ron (Jill) Wolforth of Spring, TX; daughters Deborah (Ray) Barroso of Woodland, TX and Wendy (Chris) Erickson of Cody, WY; brother Gary Wolfort; sisters Delores Allgood and Betty Klein; grandchildren Samantha (Matt) Parrish, Garrett Wolforth, Nicole and Raymond Borroso and Arron and Brady Erickson.  His parents and brothers Alvin and Orville preceded him in death.
