“It is hard to be disappointed in any of the performances, because of the nasty conditions they had to compete in, especially in the morning,” Hilpert said.

“Yes, some of the kids were disappointed in their individual performance, because they didn’t do a season or personal best, but I hope that I instilled in all of them that their efforts were certainly appreciated, and that most of them (25) will have the opportunity again next year,” he said.

THe team will be loading up and heading to Omaha on Thursday at 6:15 a.m.

“All the kids are excited about qualifying and making the long trip to Omaha,” Hilpert said.
