Ethel B. Hottell, 91, of Craig Colorado, formerly of Banner County died May 14, 2010 in Craig where she had been making her home with her daughter.  Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 19th at 1 p.m. at the Kimball Event Center.  Burial was held Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Hull NE.  Ethel’s family was present at the Event Center beginning at 10 a.m. to greet friends.  Friends were invited to a luncheon at the Event Center that  began at 11 a.m.   Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Ethel was born in Banner County on February 10, 1919 to Floyd and Violet (Johnson) Nighswonger.   She was married to Lawrence W. (Jack) Hottell on October 12, 1946 in Scottsbluff.  He preceded her in death on February 26, 1985.  She lived most of her life in Banner County and moved to Kimball in 1982.  She moved to Craig 10 years ago.  Ethel was a homemaker, mother and a wonderful grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Connie) Hottell of Bushnell, Ann (Wayne) Brush of Plains City, Utah, Harriet (George) Owen of Cheyenne, WY, Tony (Donna) Hottell of College Station, TX, Jeanie (Morris) Cronk of Ft. Laramie, WY, Art (Penny) Hottell of Gillette WY, David (Juanita) Hottell of Kimball, Jim Hottell of Kimball, Ernie (Lea) Hottell of Hereford AZ, Janet (Kelly) Hayes of Craig CO and daughter-in-law Bobbi Hottell of Minatare NE; sister Mary Grubbs of Scottsbluff and 45 grandchildren and 82 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, son Johnny, infant daughter, daughter-in-law Iva, 2 grandchildren, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and several great grandchildren.
