Elsie J. Farley, of Greeley and formerly of Kimball, died at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.  Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball with Pastor Lynda Peterson officiating.  Burial followed in the Kimball Cemetery.  Friends were abl to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m.   In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.  The services for Elsie were entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Elsie Joan Farley was born in Kimball on May 17, 1924, the daughter of Ray and Amelia (Mikkelsen) Roberts.  After completing high school she attended business school and moved out into the working world.  Elsie was married to Kyle “Junior” Collinsworth and to this union Caroline Ann and Nancy June were born.  Elsie lived in Greeley.  She later moved to rural Weld County where she was raised.  She married Keith Farley in 1954 and to this union Donna was born.  Elsie and Keith enjoyed life in the farming community sharing time with family and friends.  After Keith’s death in 1991 she remained on the farm for several years, blessed by the help of compassionate friends.  In 1997 Elsie moved back to Greeley to be near her family.  She remained in Greely until her death.

Survivors include her daughters Carol and husband Frank Luark of Cheyenne, WY., Nancy Anderson and fiancé Lynn Ford of LaSalle, CO and Donna Farley Forrest of Portland, OR; grandchildren Michelle Johnson, Kim Juarez, Charlie Luark, Jodi Krautschun, Eric Luark, Alicia Key and Brianna Forrest; 10 great grandchildren; brother Junior Roberts; sisters Maryann Frederick and Dorothy Eckas.  She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.
