Albertine K. Juedes, age 91 of Sidney, NE  passed away early Monday morning, July 26, 2010 at her son and daughter-in-law’s home in Sidney.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 2nd in the Sidney Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Doug Birky officiating.  Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M., Monday in the Potter Cemetery.

Visitation was Monday at 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church.

Memorials have been established for the restoration of the tin ceiling at the Potter Sundry and should be designated to the Potter Historical Foundation.  Memorials may also be made to the Sidney Evangelical Free Church or the Nebraska Veteran’s Home.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service wass in charge of Albertine’s care and funeral arrangements.

Albertine Katherine Juedes was born May 10, 1919 to Jacob Gottfried Loose and Katherine (Schmidt) Loose, at Fort Morgan, CO.  Albertine was one of ten children born to this union.  She attended schools in Buckeye, Waverly and Edgewater, CO.  In December of 1942, she married August W. Juedes in Chappell, NE.  To this union was born two children, Ruth Katherine and Gerard August.

Survivors include her children:  Ruth Morgan and husband Bill of Potter and Jerry Juedes and wife Julia of Sidney; (4) grandchildren, (18) great-grandchildren and (5) great-great-grandchildren; (6) brothers and sisters:  Martha Morris, Nate Loose, Ruben and wife Jean, Aaron, Dorothy Gross and Arlene and husband Wendel Miller all of Colorado.

Albertine was preceded in death by her parents, (3) siblings: Edward, Ruth and Samuel Loose and (1) grandson:  Dante Walker.
