Ida L. Bradt, 97, of Kimball, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Kimball County Manor.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Rev. Lynda Pasron officiating.  Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Kimball County Manor or the American Parkinson Association.  There will be no visitation.  The services for Ida have been entrusted to Cantrell Funeral Home.

Ida was born April 22, 1913, to Hiram and Anna Hill in Briggsdale, Colorado.  She graduated from Colorado State Teachers College High School in Greeley, Colorado, in 1930.  After attending Colorado State Teachers College for two years, she received a teaching certificate and taught school in rural northeastern Colorado for four years.  On March 31, 1934 she married Gerald E. Bradt in Scottsbluff.  They resided near Briggsdale, Colorado, until 1940 when they moved to Kimball.  Ida was elected Kimball County Assessor in 1952 and served as county assessor until her retirement in January 1975.  In 1964 she was the first woman to be elected as president of the Nebraska Assessors Association.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the VFW Auxiliary, Business and Professional Women, and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Ida is survived by her daughter Billee Rosenthal of Littleton, CO; her son Jerre of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Rick Rosenthal of Littleton, CO, Sandy and Scott Hicks of Boulder, CO, and Vicki’s husband Rod Adams of Lakewood, CO; and great-grandsons Zachary and Daniel Adams.   She is also survived by her brother Orie Hill and his wife Ann of Briggsdale, CO; sister Georgia Darr of Greeley, CO; brother-in-law Robert Graham of Greeley, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Ida was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years in January 2000, her son-in-law Ted Rosenthal in February 1999,  her granddaughter, Victoria Adams, on September 15, 2010, her brother Robert Hill and sister Hazel Graham.
