James “Randy” Stevenson, 51, of Kimball, died in Cheyenne on Monday, November 29, 2010.  Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Hod Boltjes officiating.  Cremation was held following the funeral and inurnment will be held at a later date.  Visitation was  one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Memorials may be given to the family.  The services for Randy were entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

James Randal Stevenson was born in Richlands, Virginia on March 23, 1959, the son of James and Monia (Brown) Stevenson.  He was raised and attended school in Maurice, MI and graduated from high school in 1977.  He moved to Kimball and worked for Heiner Equipment and then later worked for Evertson Well Service as a rig hand.  He moved to Greeley, CO and went to school to learn rig operation.  When he completed school he worked for Ensign Well Service.  Randy was working for Wyoming Casing for the last six months.  He was an avid gun collector and taught many classes on firearm safety.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and any outdoor activity and spending time with his children.

Survivors include his wife Sandy of Kimball; mother Monia Stevenson of St. Louis, MI; sons Joseph Stevenson of Kimball and Joshua Smith of Bridgeport, NE; brother Tom Stevenson of Leslie, MI; sisters Belinda Cook of St. Louis, MI and Cheryl Brady of Haslitt, MI; granddaughters JaDenai and Makayla Smith; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  His father preceded him in death.
