Patrick A. Dunegan, 73, of Kimball, died at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, on Thursday, March 3, 2011.  Cremation has been held in Loveland.  Masonic graveside services will be given the by James L. Eatmon Masonic Lodge #294 of Kimball and will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Kimball Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the James L. Eatmon Masonic Lodge Building fund.  The services have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Patrick Anthony Dunegan was born in Ellin Wood, Kansas on September 6, 1937, the son of Patrick and Mildred (Powell) Dunegan.  He was raised and attended school in Great Bend , KS.  He was married to Carol L. Wenger in Great Bend, Kansas on September 15, 1957.  The family moved to Kimball in 1958 and he worked with Curley Hensley doing metal fabrication in the oil field.  He retired in 2007.  Patrick enjoyed Old West Competition shooting and was a member of the Cheyenne Regulators and a life member of S.A.S.S. (Single Action Shooting Society).  He was a 33rd degree mason, and served as worshipful master in 1970, 2001 and 2002.  Patrick also held various other offices through out his 47 years of being a mason.  He also served on the Education Committee and Membership Committee from 2009-2011.  He joined the Scottish Rite of Alliance, NE in 1964 and became a Shriner at the Tehama Shrine in Hastings, NE in 1965.  He was a member of the Eastern Star and a Past Patron of Truth Chapter #262.  He also enjoyed trips with his family to Ft. Robinson and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include his wife Carol of Kimball; sons Kelly (Mary) Dunegan of Kimball and Casey (Karen) of Lincoln; daughter Shannon (Ernie) Klemt of Kimball; brother John Dunegan and Judy of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren Crystal, Cassandra, Kelsey, Jimmy, Sean, Micah and Johnathon.  His parents, brother Glen Hannigan, sister Virginia Hannigan and step-mother Ella Dunegan preceded him in death.
