Tammy Figueroa, 45, of Kimball was arrested from her home on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at approximately 1 p.m. At press time the Sheriff's office had not released reasons for the arrest.

Before removing Figueroa from her home in hand cuffs, officers from both departments searched vehicles in the yard and driveway, the garage, and Figueroa's yard and appeared to be testing substances and items.

This arrest was a joint effort led by Deputy Brandon Loy with Chief Deputy Marla Knigge of the Kimball County Sheriff's Department.

That department was assisted by Kimball Police Chief Mark Simpson and Kimball Police Officer Ward McConahay.

In an earlier arrest involving several agencies, including the Nebraska Highway Patrol and the WING task force, Figueroa was one of 13 arrested on various drug related charges.

That cooperative effort culminated on February 24, 2011 in Kimball and though Figueroa bonded out, her case is still active in district court.
