Robert P. “Bob” Lipska, 70, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

 

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Redington Cemetery in Redington with Pastor Don Mathis officiating.  Military honors will be provided by Nebraska Army National Guard.

 

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel in Bridgeport.  A memorial has been established in care of the family.  Tributes of sympathy may be left at  HYPERLINK "http://www.bbchapels.com" www.bbchapels.com

 

Bob was born July 14, 1941, at Sidney, Nebraska to Glenwood Charles and Eda (Carlson) Lipska.  He graduated from the Potter High School in 1960.  He served in the United States Army during Vietnam Era from December 1963 to December 1965 and was stationed at Ft. Lee, Virginia with duties at Arlington.  He married Lila Swayne, December 26, 1966.

 

Bob worked as a farm and ranch manager and also worked in other livestock fields.  He was a past member of the PRCA and still had a love for rodeos and working with horses.  He was a volunteer fireman in Potter for many years.  He loved to hunt, do woodworking, and fish with his grandsons.

 

Survivors include his wife, Lila Lipska; daughter, Karen (Kevin) King; son, Robert G. (Karla) Lipska; grandsons, John King and Kyle King; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Elvera Yetter, Glenna Addleman, Frances Lipska, Sharon Wieger, Grace Friedler, Glenn Allan Libska, Jerry Lipska and Alvin Lipska; and grandson, Thomas R. King.
