Juanita H Wosika, age 93, passed away August 25, 2011, at the Hawthorne Inn where she had resided for over 10 years.  She suffered from Alzheimer's for several years.

 

Juanita was born May 14, 1918, in Dilworth, Oklahoma, to Pleas and Stella Mae Hodo.  She married Albert J. Wosika in Winfield, Kansas, on July 31, 1937.  After residing in Oklahoma and Illinois they moved to Kimball, where she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Pinkerton and then as a secretary at the Kimball County Hospital  She resided in Kimball until 2001 when she moved to Winter Haven, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in February, 1988.

 

She competed in the Olympic tryouts in track in 1936, loved painting, bowling, archery, dancing and camping.  She attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball.

 

She leaves behind her daughter, Linda Kae Snyder, her son-in-law Tom, granddaughter Julie and her husband Rick, grandson Brook and his wife, Jeannine, great-grandchildren Jake, Kierstin, Garrett, Alec, Jazmin, Caitlin and Keaton.

 

The family had a private celebration of her life.  Interment of her cremains will be in Kimball.  She will be sadly missed and forever loved.
