Ronald “Ronnie” Revel, 79, of Kimball, died at Kimball Health Services on Thursday, March 1, 2012.  Cremation has been held at memorial services were held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Kimball with Matt Machacek officiating. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to leave condolences for the family. Memorials may be given to the family. The services for Ronnie have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Ronald Eldon “Ronnie” Revel was born in Lyons, Kansas on June 8, 1932, the son of William and Julia (Gockstetter) Revel. He lived and attended school in Chase, Kansas. He met Evelyn Bennett and they were married in Kimball in 1955. Ronnie worked for Flint Rig Company and the Cannons. He went to work for the UPRR in 1969 and retired in 1992. He loved spending time with his great grandchildren and grandchildren. He was a huge football fan and loved spending time visiting relatives and traveling to Estes Park and the Black Hills.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn Revel of Kimball; daughters Shevawn Clough of Kimball, Charise Bohac of Kimball, and Shannet Green of Golden, Colorado; and step-daughter Laura Dunbar of Richmond, Virginia; brothers Willis (Florence) Revel of Longmont, Colorado, and Stanley (Louise) Revel of Phoenix, Oregon; sister Elaine Pugh of Great Bend, Kansas; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother Donnie, brothers Wade and Glenn; sister Bonnie; and great granddaughter Americus Dawn Bohac.
